- Ever gotten in a fight with your partner over chores? Me too. You might be carrying more of the mental load. It’s a term many of us know, but awareness of it isn’t enough. A lot of couples disagree on what things should be done, what a “good job” looks like, and some people just refuse to do more, period. Well, today, we get into the mental load conversation no one else is having.
I'm joined by Zach Watson, who is one of the few men who's actually leading the mental load discourse. Zach Watson is a certified Fair Play facilitator, has been featured in The New York Times, CNN, Forbes, and built an audience of more than 1.4 million followers.
🎧 What you’ll learn:
• The 4 types of invisible labor
• The BUILD meeting that got Zach to do more chores
• Why men who take on more mental load actually get happier
• How to tell what’s a mental load problem vs. a high standard problem
• How men are capable of using the same skills at work to fix their home life
• Why making more money doesn’t necessarily mean doing less at home
• The link between mental load and your sex life
P.S. This is a great episode to listen to with your partner!
