Double Hopbeat: A Homebrewing Podcast

The next stop on the brew map brings James and Shannon to Redding, California where they meet Abe and Katy from @fresh_beer_co . The married duos  discuss how FRESH Beer Company came to be and the legacy they hope to leave.

A judge might taste blackberry, honey, oak, and vanilla. Someone else might taste their childhood. That's the difference between making a great mead and creating an experience.

For this stop on the Brew Map, Shannon and James are talking with the 2026 Mead Maker of the Year, someone who believes every bottle has the potential to transport you somewhere meaningful. The duo head to Vermont to meet Kyle from Green Mountain Mead.

A fictional story from the Double Hopbeat PODCAST

Something strange has appeared on the Brew Map.

A mysterious message. An abandoned brewery. An unlabeled keg. And a pint that someone clearly doesn't want James and Shannon to drink... yet.

As they follow a trail of clues, they begin to realize the mystery may have less to do with where the beer came from and more to do with why they were led there in the first place.

For Episode 150, Double Hopbeat goes somewhere it has never gone before.

The question is... will they find the last pint before it's too late?
