Paul Beaten in Jerusalem - The Book of Acts
In this Bible Story, Paul attempts to make peace with the jews in Jerusalem by adhering to their ceremonies. However, his reputation for starting churches precedes him. Paul is universally hated among the Jews in Jerusalem, so they beat him and try to kill him. Luckily, he is saved by the Judge of Jerusalem, where Paul would get a fair trial as a Roman citizen.
