Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth faced intense congressional questioning recently, with one representative accusing him of calling surviving soldiers "liars" after they contradicted his claim that a deadly drone attack was merely "a squirter that squeaked through fortified defenses"—with survivors telling CBS the unit had no defense against drones and was "unprepared to provide any defense for itself." 
When another questioner asked Hegseth how much the Iran war would cost American households in higher gas and food prices, the Defense secretary repeatedly deflected, demanding instead, "What would you pay to ensure Iran doesn't get a nuclear bomb?" before Ro Khanna interjected that the economic cost is $631 billion—"an increase of $5,000 a year for American households." 
Jimmy notes the contradiction that Trump officials claimed Iran's nuclear program was an "imminent threat" 60 days ago, but now claim it was "completely obliterated," yet still justify the war by saying Iran has nuclear "ambitions." The segment concludes with Khanna telling Hegseth, "You've betrayed... the MAGA base," adding that "JD Vance knows that."

Jimmy notes that the shooter—a Caltech teacher of the year with no criminal record—abruptly opened fire on security personnel when he was hundreds of yards from the president, behavior consistent with MK Ultra mind control programming. He further connects the ballroom's architectural firm (Shalom Barness Associates) to synagogue and temple renovations, and Trump's Bible reading of 2 Chronicles 7 about temple dedication, suggesting the ballroom is designed to resemble Solomon's Temple as part of a Third Temple project.

Jimmy's guest, former CIA analyst Larry Johnson, argues that Trump is exhibiting "demonstrable signs of early dementia" based on his erratic behavior, including personal insults against Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, the Pope, and others, while ignoring that Iran already submitted a peace plan 14 days ago that Trump refuses to accept. Johnson explains that Iran's willingness to return to the JCPOA nuclear deal is genuine, citing their refusal to use chemical weapons against Iraq in the 1980s despite being attacked with them, due to religious beliefs against such weapons. 
Johnson also debunks claims that Iran is the world's top state sponsor of terrorism, pointing out that the US State Department's own data shows the US, Saudi Arabia, and Israel have funded far more terrorist acts, including the US backing the MEK. Jimmy speaks with Professor Xueqin Jiang about the recent US seizure of an Iranian cargo ship in the Strait of Hormuz, which Scott Ritter labeled an "act of piracy" and a violation of the ceasefire. Jiang argues the ceasefire is pure theater, allowing the US to build up 60,000 troops for a three-pronged attack involving a naval blockade, arming ethnic insurgents, and bombing Iranian civilian infrastructure like power and water plants to force surrender. 
Jiang also warns that if the US resumes the war, Iran will strike Gulf Arab states and Israel hard, potentially knocking out desalination plants and one-third of the world's energy supply, rendering Gulf cities uninhabitable. Jiang concludes that the US National Security Strategy aims to create a "Fortress America" technate that makes the world dependent on American energy, but this will fail due to corruption, polarization, and a Russian-Chinese-Iranian continental trade bloc.
