Giant skeleton reports. Dogman sightings. Strange creatures seen along remote mountain roads. Appalachia has generations of stories that leave one question: what’s happening in these mountains?
Today on Slingshot Nation Live, we explore the legends and unexplained encounters of East Tennessee and the greater Appalachian region. From accounts of unearthed giants to modern creature sightings, we’ll discuss what people claim to have witnessed, where the stories come from, and the questions still unanswered.

How do you escape a nightmare that keeps bringing you back to the same world? In this episode, Tony welcomes Amelie, whose recurring childhood dreams led her through a locked gate into a sprawling realm she eventually mapped from memory. Two seemingly friendly snake guides promised to teach her its secrets, but curiosity soon gave way to terrifying assignments. Night after night, she returned to familiar paths—and places where she knew something would be waiting.
As Amelie walks Tony through her map, she describes a hidden landscape that felt less like a dream and more like a second life. Tony recognizes unsettling parallels with stories he has heard before, while she explains how her Christian faith changed her understanding of the beings she once trusted. But the deeper they follow those connections, the more troubling the question becomes: what were her guides preparing her for?

What if the most terrifying forces in this world operate through a kingdom we've barely begun to understand? Tony Merkel sits down with Alexander Pagani and Pastor Fred Price Jr. to uncover what they believe is a hidden hierarchy within the kingdom of darkness. Their startling interpretation of Jesus' confrontation with Legion raises unsettling questions about what was really happening that day. As firsthand accounts of deliverance reveal a disturbing side of the supernatural, the possibility of spiritual forces holding authority over entire regions becomes impossible to ignore. This powerful discussion challenges everything we think we know about spiritual warfare while revealing why the authority of Jesus Christ is greater than the darkness.

In Episode: 472: Peru's Megalithic Cave of Mystery, we bring on Derek Olson, the owner of Megalithic Marvels. Derek joins The Confessionals to talk about two of his biggest passions in life - searching for evidence for lost ancient technology and evidence of ancient giants/hybrid beings. He also shares some of his research on DNA and genetic anomalies of the Paracas skulls. But first, he starts us off with a journey he went on in Peru, where he was led into a largely unknown megalithic cave that the locals believe has mystical powers. When a shaman came into this cave to perform a ritual, things got weird. With people gathered around during the ritual, one man let out a blood-curdling scream as he was targeted by something from another realm inside the ancient cave.
