The IN SITU podcast is an action of the IN SITU the European platform for artistic creation in public space, in the frame of the project (UN)COMMON SPACES, cofunded by the Creative Europe Programme of the European Union.

IN SITU is the European platform for artistic creation in public space. It is led by Lieux publics, European and national centre for artistic creation in public space, located in Marseille (FR). Since 2003, it has supported around 300 artists and brings together 18 partners from 13 countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Hungary, Italy, Kosovo, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. IN SITU also gathers 13 associate partners from Belgium, France and 9 additional countries: China, Finland, Germany, Lithuania, Portugal, Slovakia, South Korea, Sri Lanka and Taiwan. The project (UN)COMMON SPACES 2020 – 2024 is co-funded by the Creative Europe programme of the European Union. We reunited two artists and a programmer to discuss the notion of cultural identity: through different contexts, realities, art forms.

A conversation between (UN)COMMON SPACES Associate Artists Johannes Bellinkx, Eva Bubla and Nana Francisca Schottländer, and Østfold Internasjonale Teater curator-producer James Moore. The conversation took place in May 2023 during parallel artistic residencies in Fredrikstad, Norway, in cabin belonging to the ornithological society BirdLife Østfold by the Øra Nature Reserve, and was edited by Sjoerd Leijten (who was in residence together with Bellinkx). Each artist was currently undertaking one of several extensive residency periods to support there process of investigating and responding to the territory and its inhabitants – both human and more-than-human. The conversation reflects upon their process and local encounters on their way toward a public program in 2024. 
 
Subsequent to the conversation, Bellinkx created Watchtower, a series of landscape theatre installations presented 23.05–26.09.2024, Schottländer created Material Displacements, a combination of pop-up installations and performance interventions presented 29.08–26.09.2024, and Bubla proposed a concept for Gudebergjordet Protection Agency, which was not realised due to a variety of circumstances.

A conversation between IN SITU artists Anna Anderegg and Live Skullerud, and Østfold Internasjonale Teater (ØIT) curator-producer James Moore.
The conversation took place over zoom in March 2024 and was edited by Jonas Bjerketvedt. The conversation reflected upon Andereggs work Silver Boom, a chorographic intervention in public space with local women aged 60+ that was implemented in the Norwegian towns of Fredrikstad and Moss in June and August of 2022. Live Skullerud was a local coordinator engaged by ØIT to assist Anderegg, and subsequently participated in an IN SITU Hothouse in Pristina, Kosovo in April 2023.
The conversation focuses on the recruitment and engagement of local, amateur performers, the methodology of the work, and the inspiration that Skullerud’s participation has been for her own artistic practice.
