  • Harmony in Hotel Quarantine, Choosing Freedom & Singing Yourself Home with Aliana
In this conversation i'm chatting with beautiful Aliana. Raised in a loving, theatrical family, she never truly felt like she fit in. On a journey to her own self discovery she has been peeling back the layers of illusion that is her ego, her false identification with self, her limiting beliefs and the security blanket that kept her safe in a bubble of limited expression, creation and authenticity.
Allowing herself to feel all that comes with the transition of moving interstate, and faced with hotel quarantine, she explains the practices in which help her move through. Breaking free from an expired way of life, leaving behind her life in Melbourne, and embracing all that comes with the reality of moving into her van & hitting the road. With no expectation, and love in her heart.
  • Navigating Pregnancy Termination, Grief & Loss with Forest Wisdom – with Elizabeth (Buff)
TRIGGER WARNING: This episode speaks about Arthrogryposis, termination of pregnancy, feticide injection, abortion, death and grief. Elizabeth (or Buff) is an environmentalist from the UK now stewarding land in Portugal with her husband – tending to the vision of creating food forests and hosting people for regenerative, sustainable experiences on their land. We delve into a heartbreaking and intense journey Buff went through earlier this year. The details of which i'll save for her own articulation - but as mentioned in the trigger warning, it involves immense loss and trauma. She offers so many pearls of wisdom and resources here. I will allow you to receive from her instead of inferring too much. • Dark Nights to Light Days & Art for Arts Sake! with Tilde Lebouc
Welcome to Episode 01 in this new series of candid conversations with The Mojo Mecca community! We are diving in with Tilde Lebouc – an artist, visual storyteller and devotee of all things creativity. She has studied ceramics, fine arts videography & photography. Her practice is intuitive, process-focused and raw. She feels that the camera, the poetry & clay are all extensions of her heart and vision, and that art is a way of life. She is also the founder of FAC (Feminine Arts Collective) – a collaborative community supporting all forms of creative self-expression and sharing art as medicine – through events, workshops and exhibitions. In this conversation we chat about: - family re-connection, homecoming and returning to the nest to remember and integrate parts of our younger selves - the purpose of 'dark nights of the soul' and how we can relate to those times more healthily - dropping out of school and moving to the bush at 16 - creation and destruction as the constant spectrum of life and nature - art for art's sake; letting go of the end result - how her name, mis-pronunciation and nicknames can fragment and alter self-perception and identity - a water bathing ritual of release + more! Connect with her here: To have a conversation as a part of this candid community series, email [email protected] - all are welcome.
  • Come back into YOUR orbit & power. A reminder & a ritual.
I am offering this candid podcast musing in the rain & stormy night after a beach walk, about the ways we give our centre away to people, situations & stories – perhaps because we're afraid of the depth & power & intuition our own orbit holds. Plus, offering a simple guided visualisation of your orbit – witnessing the parts that perhaps hold hooks, cords or energies you don't need. Allow them to be released and continue to return again and again to your centre. It is safe to be there. Artwork by Edward Burne-Jones.
  • "To be as I am, is to be..." – a creative prompt & musing with Chloe.
A creative prompt for you this week, sweet angel: "To be as I am, is to be..." Continue to read this creative opening again and again, letting it sink in. To be as you are – who are you, today? in this moment? How does that essence of ‘you’ want to express itself? We spoke so profoundly on this in our poetry circle on Sunday, citing moments where we allowed ourselves to be swayed by external perception or cast into cages through our addiction to the safety of labelling what we are or what we're interested in. Remember that you are safe to be as you are. Write about your most expansive and whole self, alive in the current of life's contradictions. Dance it out. Sing it in. Dress it up. Dust off the old scrolls. Become the poet of your wildest dreams. Let the strokes of your paintbrush be remembrances of unity. Revisit hobbies. Start wider conversations. Let all that juiciness bubbling away in the cauldron of you be tasted and felt. Be as you are. Join our free community platform here: Photograph featured by Masakazu Chiba. Song featured at the end of this recording is Rise(acoustic) by Yaima.
