"How To Train Your Dragon"
For this week's main podcast review, Josh Parham, Katie Johnson & Joselyn Safadi join me to review and discuss "How To Train Your Dragon" starring Mason Thames, Gerard Butler, Nico Parker, Nick Frost, Julian Dennison, Gabriel Howell, Bronwyn James, Harry Trevaldwyn, Ruth Codd, Peter Serafinowicz & Murray McArthur. A remake of the Academy Award-nominated animated feature of the same name from 2010, the live-action remake skews so closely to the original film that we're left wondering if there's any justification for its existence beyond the studio to make money. What did we think of the performances, score, and visual effects? Please tune in as we touch upon these topics and more in our SPOILER-FILLED review. Thank you for listening, and enjoy!

Interview With "The Boys" Star Antony Starr
Antony Starr's acclaimed performance as the villainous, insecure, narcissistic Homelander on Amazon Prime Video's hit series "The Boys" will likely go down as one of the greatest of all time, certainly for television villains. Now in its fourth season, showrunner Eric Kripke and Starr keep finding new directions to push the character in, unlocking more of his dark psyche and shocking audiences with how dastardly. Starr was kind enough to spend some time speaking with us about his work on the series, specifically on Episode 4 of the fourth season, his career, and tease a little bit about what fans can expect from the fifth and final season, which you can listen to below. Please be sure to check out the series, which is now available to stream in full on Amazon Prime Video. Thank you, and enjoy!

"District 9"
THIS IS A PREVIEW PODCAST. NOT THE FULL REVIEW. Please check out the full podcast review on our Patreon Page by subscribing over at - https://www.patreon.com/NextBestPicture
Our 2009 retrospective continues with one of the most unique and downright awesome Best Picture nominees of all time, Neill Blomkamp's "District 9," starring Sharlto Copley, Jason Cope, David James, Vanessa Haywood, Mandla Gaduka, Kenneth Nkosi, Eugene Khumbanyiwa, Louis Minnaar & William Allen Young. Standing as an allegory for apartheid in South Africa, the marketing and finished film blew audiences away in 2009 with its fresh concept and resourcefulness to deliver a summer blockbuster on a $30 million budget. What do we think of it all these years later? Please join Dan Bayer, Will Mavity, and me as we discuss the themes, Copley's performances, the makeup, action, visual effects, its awards season run, and more in our SPOILER-FILLED review. We appreciate your support and hope you enjoy our review! Thank you!
