Groundless (A Justified Podcast)

Jimmy Cooper drunk on a boat with a 20-year-old is all we who aspire to be.

Join Groundless for a look at Season 2 of The OC in this weeks episode.  In this first part (of two) of their look at The OC Season 2, Chris and Randy:  Miss the very obvious "Bait Shop" joke about it being run by a bisexual woman; wonder whether the eventual lesson from Seth's character arc is one we want to reinforce with young men; meet the new characters, even though most of them don't hang around very long; listen to Randy mix up Ed Helms and Jason Sudekis multple times in the first part; and, of course, reminisce about our favorite (is that the right word?) thing to come out of Hurricane Katrina.

Wrapping up our discussion of The OC while trying to understand the Julie/Caleb relationship this week.

Join Chris and Randy for Part 3 of our discussion on Season 1 of The OC.  In this episode your hosts:  discuss Seth, Summer, Seth + Summer, Julie + Caleb, and Sandy + Jimmy and their restaurant love child; finally acknowledge that Randy lives outside the mainstream of society; speculate fearfully about the possibility of "Temu fireworks"; and wonder whether Marissa learned her video game skills from her mom.  Oh, and Randy expresses a objectively wrong and insane opinion on hot dogs - hate mail to groundlesspodcast@gmail.com, RE: The Randy Problem.

Back in about a month to start Season 2 - where you may have forgotten, Seth and Zack try and fail twice to have a successful comic book.  Just more proof that success is overwhelmingly based on who you know and not what you are good at.

In the meantime, check out our socials @groundlesspod or @groundlesspodcast, e-mail us with your complaints, corrections, and overwhelming praise - groundlesspodcast@gmail.com.  Also your love troubles - if your girlfriend ever shot your brother while he was attempting to murder you for attempting to murder him for attempting to rape said girlfriend - we want to hear from you!  Don't forget to subscribe, rate, and review!  Thanks for listening!

Part 2/3

Join Chris and Randy for more of The O.C., Season 1.  In this episode of Groundless, your hosts:  compare Rachel, the attorney, to a Simpsons character, discuss the lack of diversity throughout The O.C., agree that everyone who doesn't do an "Irish Goodbye" is a narcissist, expose Chris's long term crush on Monica Lewinsky, and get some details wrong about the Baywatch movie.

Part 1/3

Welcome to Groundless: Newport, bitch.

Join your hosts, Chris and Randy, for a look at Season 1 of everyone's favorite teenage felon soap opera, The O.C.  In this episode we'll review what was happening in the world when this show started airing, discuss the phenomenon of The O.C. at the time, give our general thoughts on the show overall and why we chose to podcast about it, and dive into some of Ryan and Marissa's character and their respective plotlines.

"Every new beginning comes from some other beginning's end..."

It's time for the final episode of Groundless Justified!  Join your Groundless hosts this week for a look at the overall series of Justified, along with some of typical diversions you've come to expect from Chris and Randy.  In this episode your hosts:  explore our favorite and least favorite moments, storylines, episodes, and characters - including some surprising reveals; discover that a spinoff featuring Raylan in space is basically just Serenity; discuss the latest news about a new season of our favorite TV show; take a moment to really appreciate Neal McDonough's portrayal of Robert Quarles; compare Ava's jail arc to The Wire and the "gas leak" season of Community.

Oh, and we also announce our "next thing" (don't call it that) along with a tentative schedule for when you can put more Groundless into your earholes!

Back with a new direction soonish!  Until then - don't forget to subscribe, rate, and review.  E-mail us with your questions, comments, suggestions, and corrections - groundlesspodcast@gmail.com.  Check out our socials @groundlesspod and @groundlesspodcast.  Thanks for listening!
