We all go through those times where we feel creatively exhausted. The ideas stop. Everything feels harder than it should be, and we start to convince ourselves we're failing because we're tired. We are good at being hard on ourselves.
In this episode, Patrik and I talk honestly about burnout, losing your creative mojo, and why being hard on yourself usually makes everything worse.
We share some of the things that help us get through those stuck periods, from giving ourselves permission to make bad art, to stepping away for a bit, to remembering that creativity doesn't completely disappear just because your energy does.
Patrik also shares his thoughts on the difference between being creatively blocked and simply being burned out (which honestly explained a lot for me).
