  • Ep 149: "My Daughter Stopped Hearing Voices: How Healing My Childhood Wounds Freed Her Spirit"
Send us a textIn this deeply moving interview, Jeanette shares one of the most powerful transformation stories I've ever witnessed - how healing her own childhood wounds completely freed her 7-year-old daughter's spirit in just three months. As a Mexican expatriate mom living in the Netherlands with no support system, Jeanette was trapped in an overwhelming cycle. Her daughter had begun hearing "voices" that told her not to trust her mom, to fight her brother, and that she was "silly" - the exact same critical voices Jeanette had heard as a child growing up as the third of four children with little attention and no emotional support. The little girl had become the classic "good girl" - quiet, compliant, always focusing on what was wrong instead of finding joy. She was unconsciously repeating the same wounded patterns her mother had learned.Despite trying psychologists, parenting courses, and religious guidance, nothing created lasting change until Jeanette discovered the connection between her childhood wounds and her daughter's suffering. In this raw, honest conversation, Jeanette reveals:How growing up as the third of four children with no emotional support created patterns she was unconsciously repeatingThe specific brain exercises that helped her regain control of her emotions in just one weekHow her transformation affected not just her parenting, but her work relationships and life decisionsThe moment she realized her "good girl" daughter was repeating generational patternsHer brave decision to pursue divorce and create a healthier future for her childrenWhat makes this episode particularly powerful is witnessing Jeanette's courage - someone who usually "sits in the back" stepping forward to share her story publicly for the first time.If you're feeling trapped by your circumstances, overwhelmed by your emotions, or wondering if real change is possible - Jeanette's story proves that healing can happen faster than you think, and that courage can emerge from the most difficult situations.Support the showPrefer watching this podcast on video? Acerca de Zen Supermom: The Mental Fitness Podcast

I'm not a supermom. But I always wanted to be one and have it all: family, career/business that I love, AND the time for myself. But that ambition without proper stress resistance and resilience killed my mom (cancer at 48) and drove me to the edge of burnout twice. Only when I saw the disastrous effects of my anger, stress, and resentment on my little daughter, I knew I had to change... Since then, not only have I healed but I also helped thousands of other women all around the world through trauma-informed therapy and mental fitness training. And I decided to share the most vulnerable and valuable pieces of my and their journey here. Because if we got out of that dark, stuck place of feeling like a terrible mom, YOU CAN DO IT TOO. So choose the episode that speaks to you and tune in!
