On this week's episode of That Peter Crouch Podcast, Pete, Chris and Sids are back to discuss Harry Kane's historic Ballon d'Or victory, the mounting pressure on Michael Carrick at Manchester United, and some surprising rumours surrounding Crouchy's potential involvement in buying a football club. Pete finally addresses speculation about his involvement in a football club takeover, revealing that he had been part of a consortium looking to invest in a club before the deal ultimately fell through. Naturally, Chris and Sids aren't letting him off lightly, as they interrogate Pete about his business ambitions, Abbey's potential involvement, and whether there's more to the story than he's letting on. Pete reflects on Kane's incredible journey from Tottenham youngster to global superstar, reveals how his family celebrated the victory, and shares details of a memorable FaceTime call with Harry after the ceremony. Of course, Crouchy also finds a way to take some of the credit for Kane's success. Elsewhere, the boys tackle one of football's great moral dilemmas after a listener admits to watching Liverpool while his wife recovered from giving birth. This sparks a heated debate about football in the delivery room, questionable birthing playlists, and whether there's ever an appropriate time to play Salt-N-Pepa's 'Push It'. The lads also look back at another unpredictable weekend in the Premier League, with Spurs beating Chelsea, Aston Villa overcoming Manchester City, and Liverpool getting the better of Brighton. Attention then turns to the upcoming fixtures, including Liverpool against Arsenal and Chelsea against Manchester United, as the boys make their latest predictions. And as always, there's plenty of classic TPCP nonsense along the way. Pete manages to upset Chris by admitting he wasn't listening to him, the boys offer some questionable encouragement for a listener's football-filled lads' weekend, and a rather outrageous listener's XI brings the episode to a fitting conclusion. On this week’s episode of the Peter Crouch Podcast, Pete, Sids, and Chris are joined by one of football’s biggest characters… Sam Allardyce!

Big Sam gets stuck into everything from his playing days as a no-nonsense centre-half to the methods that helped make Bolton one of the most innovative teams in the Premier League. Sam explains how he embraced data, technology and set pieces long before they became staples of modern football, and why he still gets frustrated watching managers simply copy what everyone else is doing.

We also get into some of the huge names Sam brought to Bolton, including Jay-Jay Okocha and Nicolas Anelka, as well as his approach to building a dressing room full of different nationalities and personalities. Sam reveals how he convinced top players to take a chance on Bolton and why getting the culture right was just as important as what happened on the pitch.

On this week’s episode of the Peter Crouch Podcast, Pete, Sids and Chris are joined by a veteran goalkeeper who has represented Bosnia and Herzegovina, playing for clubs such as Stoke City, Chelsea, and Everton… it’s Asmir Begović, and he’s here for a proper trip down memory lane.

Asmir opens up about his incredible journey from being born in Bosnia during the conflict, fleeing the country with his family and eventually settling in Canada, to making it over to England as a teenager and beginning his professional football career at Portsmouth.

Asmir looks back on his time at Pompey, including some brilliant stories from competing with David James, eventually breaking into the first team. He also reveals what it was like working under Tony Pulis at Stoke, the strict rules in that dressing room, the incredible team spirit they developed and how Crouchy’s arrival helped change the club.

The lads also revisit Asmir’s famous long-range Premier League goal, which remains one of the most memorable goals ever scored by a goalkeeper, before getting into his move to Chelsea, his relationship with José Mourinho and what it was like competing with Thibaut Courtois.

There’s plenty more along the way, from Asmir’s experiences of football in Canada and his journey through the English leagues to stories from some of the biggest dressing rooms and managers he encountered throughout his career.
