What if you didn’t have to have it all figured out to begin again?

On this episode of Moonbeaming, Sarah sits down with poet, astrologer, and author Heidi Rose Robbins to explore what it means to move through change with more presence, creativity, and trust.

Together, they reflect on what the Moon Studio is calling the “year of the pivot”—a time of reinvention, letting go, and becoming someone new, often without having a clear plan. They talk about how to navigate these moments without forcing clarity or perfection, and why the smallest steps can be the most powerful place to begin.

Heidi shares how poetry, astrology, and daily practices like writing can become a tool to help us move through uncertainty with more compassion. The two also explore the role of repetition in creativity, the importance of showing up consistently (even imperfectly), and how structure can support us as we evolve.

    In this episode, you’ll hear:

Why 2026 is a “year of the pivot” and what that actually means

How to take the first step when you don’t feel ready

Using poetry and writing as a tool for emotional alchemy

Letting go of urgency and reconnecting to presence

Why repetition—not perfection—is the key to creative work

The power of daily practices (like Heidi’s “Moon Notes”)

How astrology can be a tool for self-compassion and connection

Learning to trust timing, cycles, and your own inner knowing

This episode is an invitation to slow down, listen more deeply, and trust that something new may already be opening.

How To Advocate For Your Health with Licensed Clinical Scientist Tyla Bee

    08/04/2026 | 55 min
What if your bloodwork say you’re “fine”… but your intuition is telling you something is “off”?

In this episode, Sarah is joined by licensed clinical scientist and author of Brains Like Ours: A Smart Girls Guide to Mood, Modern Life, and the Science Behind Mental Health Tyla Bee, who is on a mission to help people better understand their labs, their symptoms, and the powerful connection between intuition and data.

After experiencing rough mental health symptoms and discovering a critical vitamin deficiency that changed everything, Tyla transformed her personal journey into a framework for helping others take their health into their own hands.

In this conversation, Tyla breaks down why standard lab ranges can miss important imbalances, how chronic stress and nervous system overload show up in your bloodwork, and which key markers are often overlooked in conventional care.

    You’ll learn:

Why “normal” lab results don’t always mean optimal health

The key labs most people aren’t getting (but should be)

How inflammation, hormones, and stress impact your mental health

The connection between intuition and biological data

Practical ways to advocate for yourself in a broken healthcare system

    Meet Tyla:

Tyla Bee is a licensed Clinical Scientist, Sunnyside Coach, lifetime card-carrying member of the anxiety club, and the author of Brains Like Ours: A Smart Girl's Guide to Mood, Modern Life, and the Science Behind Mental Health (Redwood Publishing, 2026). With years of experience in hospital laboratories and integrative medicine, Tyla bridges the gap between clinical science and holistic wellness, helping women understand the lab data behind their mood, energy, and hormonal health. She is the creator of the Load Capacity Framework and writes at substack.com/@tylabee.

What if astrology isn’t something you believe in—but something you practice?

In this episode of Moonbeaming, Sarah is joined by Dr. Michael J. Morris, a queer feminist astrologer, tarot reader, artist, and teacher, for an expansive conversation on astrology as a practice rather than a belief system.

Together, they explore relational and feminist astrology, conflict as a site of growth, and what it means to become who we are through what we practice.

We hope you’ll find this conversation to be a grounding and thought-provoking exploration of how astrology can support personal and collective transformation, not as something to believe in, but as something to live.

    In this episode, you’ll hear:

Why astrology can be understood as a practice rather than a belief system

How “we become what we practice” shapes who we are over time

The difference between belief-based thinking and practice-based living

How astrology can shift your relationship to time, pacing, and life milestones

Why there’s no such thing as being “behind” in your life

How astrology invites us into relationship with the more-than-human cosmos

Why conflict is necessary, generative, and even vital for growth

Practices for staying present with discomfort instead of avoiding it

How to structure a creative life through cycles instead of constant productivity

    Meet Michael:

Michael J. Morris is a queer feminist astrologer, tarot reader, dance artist, writer, and educator committed to personal and collective healing and liberation. They began their consulting practice Co Witchcraft Offerings in 2019 through which they share astrology, tarot, and movement-based rituals. Michael holds a PhD in Dance Studies and brings decades of experience in dance, yoga, reiki, and other somatic practices to their work. They have presented at the Queer Astrology Conference, the Fresh Voices in Astrology Summit, the Astrology and Climate Change Conference, the Northwest Astrological Conference (NORWAC), the Annual Conference of the Astrological Association (UK), and the World Astrology Summit. They are also a teaching assistant in Kelly Surtees’ Astrologer Training Program and a guest teacher in the Foundations in Embodied Ancestral Inquiry course presented by wildbody somatics.

What if astrology isn’t something you believe in, but something you practice?

If you’ve ever felt confused about astrology you’re not alone. So many of us have been taught to approach spirituality through belief systems: Do you believe in this or not? And if you don’t, does that mean it has no value?

But what if that question is the wrong place to start?

In this episode of Moonbeaming, Sarah sits down with Dr. Michael J. Morris, queer feminist astrologer, writer, and teacher, to explore a radically different approach: astrology as a practice. Together, they unpack what becomes possible when we move away from belief and toward something we return to, live with, and grow through over time.

If you’ve been craving a more grounded, relational, and expansive way to engage with astrology (and with your life), this conversation offers both clarity and invitation.

In the end, the question isn’t what you believe, it’s who you become through what you practice.
