We're back and what feels like a soft reset.

There are plenty of changes to be had with these Formula 1 cars. The 2026 regulations may not have been upended, but there could be enough changes to at least reduce some of the major concerns F1 fans...as well as those who felt qualifying was getting a little "silly".

Meanwhile, Franco Colapinto revelled in the home crowd showing off a classic Enstone Alpine-coloured Lotus and the Miami circuit heralds a sprint weekend for the second time this year. What could we expect this weekend?

Just days before Formula 1 kicks off again in Miami, there is greater talk of major changes coming for 2027...and McLaren is calling them out against their own supplier! Meanwhile, the commercial arm of Formula One claims there are no problems...yet even the FIA suggests the changes for the Miami Grand Prix won't see major changes to the formula and the racing.

I think that's a problem, folks. What does this all mean for Mercedes. They and FOM are rapidly losing the argument for the 50/50 2026. Even Audi didn't want it!

Just hours after the FIA and other parties met to fix the F1 regulations for 2026, its CEO Stefano Domenicali came out and said there was nothing to fix. No problems here.

And in terms of lessons learned, only two. That the manufacturers had too much influence on the Formula 1 engines (V8 turbos inbound, folks) and that the drivers talked too much. Oh. With the media giving them too much attention. Ah.

This wasn't a very smart move, mate.

A quote from the F1 driver during the Chinese Grand Prix has resurfaced from Fernando Alonso...and it completely adds new complexity to the story between Aston Martin and Honda. The Spanish Formula 1 driver recalls how back in 2015, when Honda were also in trouble, many looked to his comments more than everyone else...even though his teammates were saying the exact same thing.

That alone tells you that he is not prepared to tow the line his team is towing...he is going off script and will not become the voice of Aston's Formula One struggles with Honda! And Honda themselves? It gives more understanding about their situation...and how they've been telling the truth the whole time!

Another day, another Guardian journalist involved with an F1 driver. This time around, Lando Norris was asked about his thoughts on the F1 2026 regulations and he was prevented from doing so by his own managers. Why? In a twist, that encounter was published along with the original article about Norris winning a prestigious award, the Laureus. On a joyful day, Lando's mood surely was ruined.

It also adds a brief glimpse into the world of Formula One drivers and how much control there is over them in 2026. So many layers, so much yapping to do!
