Since the F1 Miami Grand Prix this year (and after the loss of six points from Monaco), Pierre Gasly and Franco Colapinto have scored the same number of points for the Formula One team. So what happens when Gasly’s teammate stops being an obvious number two and Alpine has to manage priority in real time? Answer...umm...well...I'm getting 2023/2024 flashbacks, folks.

When strategy and frustration collide, things can get awkward fast...and Esteban Ocon isn't there to point the finger at. The next internal Alpine test could tell us plenty! Maybe we were wrong about Esteban.

I wanted this Williams move to work, but the Madrid Grand Prix resulted in another collision and I'm struggling to back up the Spaniard. Yes, Williams’ difficult 2026 F1 season deserves acknowledging, but so does the judgement we expect from an experienced race winner...and whether or not he justifies the supposed 8 figure salary.
