Aston Martin is promising one of the biggest performance jumps of the F1 2026 season! A new chassis for Hungary and then Honda’s got an engine upgrade at the race after that, the Dutch Grand Prix...but there's a catch.

Adrian Newey can't give us a number for the gains. Two seconds? That's conjecture as of now. And Honda? Well they know how much they've gained but they won't say either! So Fernando Alonso is expected to decide his future based off of half-truths. Is Aston's comeback all hype? Maybe, maybe not...but it's a game of two halves!

The Max Verstappen-to-McLaren rumour has produced plenty of debate as well as denials. The likes of Zak Brown, Mark Webber, Raymond Vermeulen and Max himself have had a go...but the problem here is that what they say has nothing in common!

Nothing we've seen so far is final. Not like Oscar Piastri’s infamous Alpine tweet. Right now, so it would seem, it's best for all parties to be flexible, not certain. Because what does certainty get you right now, THIS early into silly season? And oh yes, it's not as fun!

Because in Formula 1, the denial is only half the story. The part they leave untouched can matter just as much.
