Italy won...but it wasn't Ferrari that brought the country glory. Leclerc crashed not long after he and Hamilton made contact while Kimi Antonelli turned 19th on the grid into a home victory.

Meanwhile, Max Verstappen salvaged a podium while McLaren gave us a scrap for fourth. Fun!

Formula 1 is already teasing 2027 while Monza prepares to expose one of the strangest compromises of F1 2026. With Oscar Piastri saying McLaren’s simulator produced a higher main-straight speed in Hungary than at Monza...it just sounds WRONG, doesn't it? The FIA is trying to sort things out...but this year man...it's horrible.

Liam Lawson’s 2027 F1 future may depend on someone else's success.

Lawson is back in the Red Bull RB22 at Monza, but the more important fight could be happening one category below. Nikola Tsolov leads the F2 championship, with the Racing Bulls boss Alan Permane confirming he's next at VCARB. Him winning the title would force Red Bull to find somewhere new for him in 2027...yet that could save Lawson's Formula 1 career.

Does Liam have more to time to prove himself? If not as Max Verstappen's teammate, then at least a worthy Formula One driver elsewhere, for 2028.
