How Long Ref? From Sky Sports

In the final episode of series one of How Long Ref, host Andrew Mensah and referee Nieve Petruzziello aka StuntPegg are joined by Sky Sports’ very own european football expert Dougie Critchley and content creator Maz Mirzadeh.  

This week, the group react to the huge news of Erik ten Hag’s sacking. Nieve and Dougie have a deep dive into which managers they want to see in England’s top-flight. In the most terrifying week of the year, the group choose their scariest baller to face on the pitch and which player has terrorised their former club the most. The debate really hots up when the gang discuss whether Virgil van Dijk will end up being the best centre-back in PL history. Alongside Jay is a man considered to be the strongest player ever to grace the game, former Football League forward and friend of the podcast, Adebayo Akinfenwa. Bringing wisdom, top takes and the cards is Nieve Petruzziello aka StuntPegg, who returns as our Ref. 

This week, Jay reveals the inside story of some of the biggest moments in his career, including that iconic title-winning Aguero moment back in 2012. The group explore the Premier League players and managers who needed more time to shine. Andrew questions which star would be the best to bring with you on a night out and the group debate the worst cliches in football.

This week on How Long Ref? Joining Andrew during international week is a pundit with international pedigree, former Republic of Ireland and Crystal Palace striker, Clinton Morrison. Alongside Clinton is a comedian and actor who's starred in hit shows like Ted Lasso and Bloods, Man Utd die-hard, Kevin 'KG' Garry. Once again, bringing the knowledge and the cards is Nieve Petruzziello aka StuntPegg, who returns as our Ref. 

This week, following the return to football from Wojciech Szczesny, the group propose who they'd like to see return to the beautiful game. The group then have to bring forward their case for the best goal they've seen live, discuss dark arts in football, debate the worst record in football and we have yet another referee dilemma to solve, courtesy of PL ref, Peter Banks.

Expect Roy Keane references, Clinton's Exeter City admission and an unlikely Gary Neville stan.

This week on How Long Ref? Andrew is joined by our first active Premier League star, goalscorer and current Everton shot-stopper, Asmir Begovic. Joining the title-winner for his second appearance is content creator and former Barnet baller, Moses Duckrell. Officiating proceedings is the football mastermind that is Nieve Petruzziello aka StuntPegg who returns as our ref.

This week, the group delve into some of the brilliant stories from Asmir's career before debating which Premier League Golden Boot is the most impressive. The gang also make their points clear around what they'd remove from the game, who has the toughest job in the Prem and in honour of our special guest, they debate who the greatest PL goalkeeper is.
