Colin’s top takes of the week.
First, Colin’s joined by John Middlekauff, host of “3 and Out” on The Volume.
They start with the Vikings beating the Bears and both express serious concern for the health of Caleb Williams (2:30). They raise serious concerns about the Chargers and give credit to Klint Kubiak for the Raiders back to back wins (10:15). Staying in the AFC West, they react to Bo Nix and the Broncos coming back late to beat the Jaguars (16:00).
Colin lauds Drew Lock as a solid backup for the Seahawks and they agree JSN is borderline unstoppable at wide receiver (26:00) and they remain baffled by the pileup of injuries for the 49ers and Colin praises Brock Purdy for a near-perfect game (32:00).
Then, Colin is joined by Josh Pate, ESPN college football analyst and host of Josh Pate’s College Football Show.
They preview USC vs. Oregon (42:00), and discuss the top quarterback prospects and both agree they aren’t convinced that Arch Manning deserves to be in that category (47:30).
Finally, they review Josh’s latest power rankings and why Josh still has Ohio State ranked #1 (51:45), and debate where Oklahoma stacks up in the SEC (55:00).

Daniel Cormier IS BACK to talk all things UFC, MMA, and combat sports, this time DOUBLING DOWN on his criticism of Gable Steveson after leaving the octagon following his UFC 331 KNOCKOUT LOSS to Sean Sharaf. DC says he spoke to Gable Sunday about the loss, and expects him to bounce back better than ever, despite feeling like he needed to stay in there and accept the loss. Cormier also gives Jon Jones his flowers as a coach, saying he was wrong to assume that Jones wasn't good for the role, and he believes that taking the blame for Gable leaving further proves his potential as a coach. DC also gives his quick take on the massive heavyweight title fight between Ciryl Gane and Josh Hokit for the interim belt, which he predicted would happen last week. Hear what Cormier believes is next for Gable, why he will only continue to get better, and where he believes Jon has been a great coach for the young prospect. #Volume
