Jayde was a 29-year-old teacher who vanished from outside her own home one rainy morning in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. In April 2015, Jayde walked out to her gate to wait for her carpool and disappeared in a matter of minutes.
What began as a missing-persons search — and looked, at first, like a robbery or a random abduction in a city gripped by violent crime — slowly unraveled into one of the most disturbing cases in South African history.

About This Case: In January 2004, in the quiet Boston suburb of Woburn, Massachusetts, 34-year-old Joanne Presti and her 12-year-old daughter Alyssa were found dead inside their home on Totman Drive. Joanne was a devoted single mother, protective, family-centered, the kind of woman whose whole world was her kids.
